Metal-casing
fittings
The special, patented shape of
the metal casings, made of high-grade
zinc-resistant brass, makes the bi-material
fittings of the POLO-POLYMUTAN range almost
indestructible. Their high dimensional accuracy
and the solid, homogeneous way in which they are
joined to the plastic pipe fittings, meet the very
highest safety standards and ensure that the
system is completely watertight.

Homogenous material PP-R
80
All the pipes and fittings of the
POLO-POLYMUTAN hot & cold water piping
programme are made of polypropylene. This is using
only top-quality grades of PP granules. This
material stands out for its durability, high
temperature resistance and its enormous resistance
to corrosion, pitting, leaching and mechanical

External control of the POLO-POLYMUTAN Pipe System in Germany is conducted by the
- Suddeutsche Kunststoffzentrum (Southern German Plastics
Centre)
- Hygiene institut (Hygiene Institute of) Karlsruhe/Gelsenkirchen,
which are authorised as testing centres by DVGW (German Association of Gas and
Water Facilities), among others.
External control of homologation for foreign
usage is conducted in a similar manner.
Suitability for cold and warm drinking water has been established according to
the Plastics and Drinking Water Guidelines by the Hygiene Institut Karlsruhe/Gelsenkirchen,
and is a component of permanent external control.
The testing seal of the Institute
documents that the POLO-POLYMUTAN Pipe System con-forms to the Plastics and Drinking
Water Recommendations of the Federal Department of Health for commodity goods.

Measured
against conventional fittings, the
polypropylene-to-metal join created by POLO-POLYMUTAN's
metal fittings is distinguished by 100% watertightness.
The PP-R / metal join effortlessly withstands decades
of constant use. Also, the metal-parts of the fittings
provide a sturdy contact surface for the pipe wrench
to act on. Even in the case of short sections, it is
virtually impossible to overtighten these
fittings.
